Oil Change in Rapid City, SD at 803 St. Patrick St

3rd time using Take 5. Always professional and courteous. Very thorough and explained everything as they go. I don't like paying people to do what I used to, but I don't have the facilities anymore. So they make it easy and fast. Unfortunately, during my 2nd visit 6 months ago, it appeared great but about 800 miles after service, I had an oil leak. The filter was not properly secured. During this visit they did apologize for the issue, determined the tech responsible technician and advised he had already been terminated. They gave me 50% off this service and were very good. 2010 RAM 3500.

Just tried out this place today, and this was actually the first time I’ve personally taken my car in for an oil change, especially with a newer vehicle. Before arriving, I called to ask about pricing, and the employee on the phone was very helpful. They explained the pricing and even offered me a 25% off coupon, which I really appreciated. When I arrived, someone immediately came out to greet me, offered me a water, and asked what service I was there for. They double checked what type of oil my car takes and made sure their system was updated correctly since my vehicle is a 2025. The service itself was very quick and efficient. They showed me the dipstick afterward so I could see the oil level and how clean the oil was, and they even had me wait a moment to make sure there were no leaks before sending me on my way. Overall, this was a very smooth and professional experience, and I will definitely be returning.

Very courteous, explained every step they were doing. Didn't try to sell me upgraded oil i didn't need. Told me all about their top off service and when I mentioned a possible issue they told me of some places I could go. Their customer service was beyond great. Unlike when I went to the other side up place G.M. and they didn't seat my filter correct and I lost all my oil by the time I got home. All over the road, my driveway, and engine compartment. Asked G. M. to clean these things and all they did was fix filter add oil, told me to come to the shop and they would clean. NOPE just sprayed with decreased and didn't even get it all. Take 5 had a customer for life and will be referring everyone to them.

Great experience at Take 5. I got right in, the two crew members were friendly, informative, and quick. Fascinating to watch their process of working, communicating, and checking each step. I felt completely comfortable driving away and they even have a great military discount! 2nd time there and no complaints. It was a warm day so they offered bottled water, alerted me about some needs but didn't pressure me and gave me a reasonable time frame for the future, etc.

This was my first visit to Take 5 - and I’m new to the Rapid City area! Wasn’t sure where you start so just picked a spot, and was very impressed! I was offered a water bottle as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Pulled into the garage, and the crew got started! It was like watched a NASCAR pit crew! Denver introduced himself and we chatted about services and type of oil. They were training a new guy on the team, and were very helpful to make sure he got things right. Everyone stopped by the rear windows to see our Labrador Grommit & give him cookies. Finished off the service, checked all the items, and even found a ratchet socket in my engine bay from a prior service! Denver & his crew were very respectful and quick to get me in and out. I will definitely return for service in the future with other vehicles in the family.
