I’ve been coming to Take 5 Oil Change on Mason Rd for about 30 yrs! Jimmy was the Mgr of that location and he was great! Jimmy made sure that everything was checked, including trans oil level, wiper reservoir level, tires pressure, everything without any pressure of a sales pitch! He offered a cold bottle of water too! He went over and above to see that the customer was satisfied before they left. Nowadays, the service has slipped and I went to the location off 99 and Highland Knowles just next to the Kroger store. For charging $96 for a normal oil change ( 100% synthetic oil) and not paying attention to detail, offering a cold bottle of water, check filters, making sure tire pressure is maintained, etc!! How times have changed!! It’s shame bc that’s a lot of $$& for a 10 min oil change. No more customer service! I probably will be looking for another place after 30 yrs!!
I haven’t been to this location since my last oil change in December. The last time I went I had such a bad experience I actually thought about switching locations. But today due to time I went back and I met the new shop manager. He was AMAZINGLY helpful. I had been told for a few months I needed a coolant flush but I was always low on funds every time I showed up and only had enough for an oil change. Today I had a little more to work with and the new manager was able to help me take care of everything I needed in one service. Oil change. Coolant flush and new windshield wipers. I def appreciate him being polite and willing to work with me the whole process. Times are extremely hard as prices on everything continue to increase but I love when I come in and I get great service with a great price. I’ve been coming to this same shop for several years now. I def hope he continues to stay/ manager at this location. I believe his name was jimmy, at least that’s what my receipt shows… but if I’m wrong just know whoever the shop manager is is amazing as well as the staff he manages. See yall soon!
The young man was super respectful while presenting my coolant issue and needing to get it replaced. He showed me the fluids compared to what’s supposed to be and talked me through the swap. I got a great deal and he was complete with all my work quickly. I used to go to a different Take 5 but found this spot on accident and will not be switching any time soon!
