Honest Oil Change Review 🚗🛢️ I wanted to compare oil change prices so I could plan a realistic car maintenance budget now that I’m responsible for taking care of my own car. With my brother’s guidance, I declined all the additional services and requested only the cheapest 5,000-mile oil change. The taxable portion showed $47, while the price listed was $94.99. I initially thought the $47.99 difference might be a service charge, so I wanted to understand exactly what I was paying for. My final bill came out to $124.82, including the oil filter, which apparently is part of the oil change service. When we got home, my brother walked me through the service paperwork and explained that we could buy the same 5-quart full synthetic 0W-20 motor oil for around $35 and an oil filter for $15 or less. That means we could potentially do the next oil change ourselves for around $50 in supplies, assuming we use the correct products for my car. With my daily commute, I’m projected to hit every 5,000 miles in roughly 2.7–3 months, so oil changes are something I need to account for regularly in my maintenance budget. If we can save around $75 per oil change by doing it ourselves, that adds up to approximately $300 in annual savings! That’s a pretty big deal when you’re trying to be intentional with your money. I still appreciate the convenience of having a technician do the work, and I’m not saying the service itself isn’t worth paying for. You’re also paying for labor, equipment, and the convenience of having someone else handle it. But for my personal budget, knowing that I have the option to save money by learning to do it myself is a win. I still have a lot to learn about basic car maintenance, and I plan to tackle it one thing at a time. After wrecking at least three SUVs over the past two years while my dad was always on top of my car service and maintenance needs, I guess it’s finally time for me to learn how to take care of my own vehicle. 😂 Lesson learned: Knowledgeable and handy family members - blessing! ❤️ And apparently, growing up means learning what’s under the hood instead of just knowing how to drive. LOL!

When I arrived I was promptly greeted by Hunter who was very polite & helpful, he explained the pricing of the oil change. I wanted my air & cabin filters changed also, Hunter brought my old ones to show me along with bringing the new ones for comparison. Sharif was polite & quick about changing my oil & filters. All of the staff were friendly & polite. The crew were working hard & quickly to care for not only me but the other customers that were there while I visited.
