Oil Change in Rapid City, SD at 507 N Cambell St.

We were visiting Badlands National Park on a road trip, about 800 miles from home in Chicago, when my car flagged low oil life. On a Saturday morning in Rapid City, I couldn't find anywhere that could take us until we drove past this Take 5. They got us in right away and finished the oil and filter change quickly. Alex and Joe were friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything they were doing, and kept me updated at every step. They had us back on the road in no time. Highly recommend!

I have nothing really bad to say except and it wasn't a big deal but I pulled in to get oil change was told they didn't have my oil filter fine if I go down the street to get one I need my oil changes I am not gonna be doing that myself hello... but not a problem went got an oil filter under twenty bucks no big deal get back to find out they actually had 3 on hand well whatever use mine not like I'm gonna ever change my own oil but I like to tip people when they do for me what I can't do for myself I paid with card asked them if I could tip them said they can only get tips in cash yea figured that 20 bucks already had it ready anyway really the only batch I have is the time before when I was there they reset my change oil soon message and partly my problem I totally forgot but that they job but on the other hand I learned how to rest my change oil soon message all by myself WHOOP WHOOP 🤭

I was pleasantly surprised by the two young men who performed an oil change on my Jeep Wrangler today. I pulled up a little after 5pm, half-expecting to be too late for them to change the oil before close. I was met by a worker who had me stop just short of the bay so he could look at the oil & filter requirements to be sure the items were in stock before they began work (it's a Jeep thing). Once confirmed, they went over the options available insofar as oil type, longevity, etc, and got right to work. They were very professional, courteous, communicated well with me, and with each other, which is imperative for safety reasons. As I sat in my car during the process, they both informed me of each step and kept me apprised as to progress. Under normal circumstances, I would most likely have appreciated their efforts with a small tip, but this was an exception...it was over 100 degrees today (7/27/26) and these guys were doing their job over hot engines and equipment while remaining polite, informative, courteous, and wore a smile on their faces the whole time. I asked each of them how old they were as they looked about the same age as my son. One was 19 and the other 20. It was incredibly refreshing to see such an amazing work ethic in "kids" this age. They seemed to understand what it takes to develop and foster long-term or repeat customers and not simply move cars through like cattle. I'll be taking all my vehicles to this location in the future.
