If you're the standard "just go to Valvoline to get an oil change" person, go to Take 5 instead. I have always had some kind of problem getting anything done at Valvoline. Big or small it was always something. Decided to change it up and try Take 5 instead, and I'm glad I did. Mia and Sammy were very quick and effective, good at small talk, not awkward people just trying to sell you stuff which I appreciate. This will probably become my place to get an oil change from now on because of it.
Took my Transit Connect in and had a really good experience. I drive a transport van, so I appreciated they could check and flush the differential, which isn’t something everywhere talks about. The tech actually showed me the drain plug and the old fluid, it looked pretty nasty, so it felt good knowing it needed done and wasn’t just being “sold” something. They put in a new air filter, checked my coolant quality, and I appreciated they were honest that the coolant was still good instead of pushing an unnecessary service. Everyone was friendly, explained things in a way that made sense, and I left feeling taken care of, not pressured.
Very nice, fast oil change. They offer you a bottle of water when you pull up, which is a nice touch on a 90 degree day. The lady even took my glove box out and checked my cabin air filter, which desperately needed changed and no other oil change place has ever checked! The only negative was, she said “we price these about the same as auto shops” but when I asked the price and compared, their price was about 3x more. Other than that, they were super friendly, thorough, and fast. As long as they have coupons available, I’ll be back! (Even the oil change prices were very high compared to other places I’ve been, but they had a $25 off coupon online which made them comparable to others)
