Excellent customer service! It was a first try and would definitely recommend this place. I ended up with a service technician manager Luis. He did everything he was supposed to to do with precision, and went above and beyond to tell me when he saw something was off and made the proper adjustments while changing oil and topping off fluids (why I went in) It started out rocky being told they didn’t have my cars basic oil after I just saw the oil truck leave. Luis flagged me down and said in so many words it was a misunderstanding . He was professional and made sure the other employee knew what expectations are. 5 star!

Luis was absolutely wonderful, he started off with the regular checkup that I think is normal (first time here) and then explained that there was another issue to be handled with my coolant. He explained everything very clearly and helped me understand. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at an auto shop without them trying to upsell me on every little thing and helped with tiny other issues free of charge, and informed me of a military discount that I didn’t know they provided after seeing my ID. 10/10 will definitely be coming back and will be recommending this place to others. 2007 Ford Focus on 06JUL

First time coming to Take 5 in Waukegan to get an oil change and had a great experience. Lavelle and Steven welcomed me right off the bat. They were both professional, friendly, and efficient from start to finish. They explained everything clearly, got me in and out quickly, and made the whole process stress-free. It’s hard to find a team that’s both knowledgeable and genuinely welcoming, but they definitely delivered. I really appreciated their customer service and attention to detail. After a frustrating experience at another local chain where I arrived right at opening only to be told the technician was working alone and couldn’t help me, with no clear idea whether the wait would be 45 minutes or 2 hours, I decided to give Take 5 a try. I’m glad I did. The team was courteous, professional, and informative from the moment I pulled in. They got me in right away, changed my oil, topped off my coolant, filled my tires, and had me back on the road quickly. The service was efficient, the staff was friendly, and the price was fair. A great experience overall, and I’ll definitely be back. Major shout out to Carlos and Lavell who helped me out.

This was my first time visiting Take 5 Oil Change because I was taking my son’s car for him and it's his place for this type of service. From the moment we arrived until the service was completed, everything was excellent. The employees were friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. While we waited, they offered me, my daughter-in-law, and my little Tubaby refreshments, including water, juice, and fruit snacks. Those small acts of kindness really stood out and made us feel welcome and appreciated. What impressed me most was how quickly they completed the service without sacrificing great customer service. The team worked efficiently, kept us informed, and made the entire experience smooth. I've always taken my vehicle to Jiffy Lube Express, but after this experience, this Take 5 location has gained another customer. The outstanding service, hospitality, and speed exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be bringing my own vehicle here for future oil changes and maintenance.
