Oil Change in Newark, OH at 1200 N 21st St.

Visited the Newark location after having left the Heath location with an unresolved issue. The technicians at the Heath location were. Very nice, however, were not familiar enough with the device that exchanges coolant and subsequently pumped an air pocket into my coolant reservoir /radiator. They ended up sending me to the Newark location for further assistance. Guys in Heath were nice but I wouldn’t trust them to do anything to my vehicle again. That location receives a rating of 1 star. They were not forthcoming about their inexperience with that particular process. Upon arrival in Newark, the technicians quickly determined what the issue was and spent a great deal of time making sure the problem was resolved. They had to repeat the whole process twice in order to remove the air pocket. They explained what they were doing every step of the way and the things that were overlooked initially at the Heath location. Sammy and Mia never complained once and were very thoughtful and kind. They really went the extra mile as far as customer service/support and I will definitely go back to the Newark store for any further needs.Thanks again, Sammy and Mia for your professionalism, patience and determination to do the right thing! So very appreciated!

If you're the standard "just go to Valvoline to get an oil change" person, go to Take 5 instead. I have always had some kind of problem getting anything done at Valvoline. Big or small it was always something. Decided to change it up and try Take 5 instead, and I'm glad I did. Mia and Sammy were very quick and effective, good at small talk, not awkward people just trying to sell you stuff which I appreciate. This will probably become my place to get an oil change from now on because of it.

Took my Transit Connect in and had a really good experience. I drive a transport van, so I appreciated they could check and flush the differential, which isn’t something everywhere talks about. The tech actually showed me the drain plug and the old fluid, it looked pretty nasty, so it felt good knowing it needed done and wasn’t just being “sold” something. They put in a new air filter, checked my coolant quality, and I appreciated they were honest that the coolant was still good instead of pushing an unnecessary service. Everyone was friendly, explained things in a way that made sense, and I left feeling taken care of, not pressured.
