I always do my own oil changes so it was weird having someone else take care of it for me. I’ve relocated, currently rent an apartment, all my tools are in another state and when my reminder light came on, I realized I’d have to bring my truck in. Before going into Take 5, I got my Mobil1 filter and oil hoping I can bring my own and they take care of the rest to which the guys said was no problem. They were all really nice, professional and communicative during the oil change. My drain plug was replaced as per their policy with a stuck crush gasket and to see them using a torque wrench when tightening it was a relief for me. It was maybe 20-30 minutes that I was there and I would definitely go back again.
An absolutely professional level service. The district manager was professional and very personable. Overall, the best by far of any quick oil change facilities I have ever been to. I am impressed and I don’t easily impress. Update- 242 miles after the oil change (I-70 west bound) the high coolant temperature warnings came on, luckily we were 1 mile from an exit, I immediately slowed & went to the coolant temperature screen, 264 degrees! We went to a gas station and had to add 6 1/2 quarts of coolant to a 10 quart cooling system. At that temperature, the integrity of the oil is severely degraded. Tomorrow I will have to have the oil changed again and there is a loud valve type ticking noise from the front right valve cover as are looking at the engine. Upon returning home, we will have our dealership check the engine to see if there was any valve damage done due to the severe overheating.
Rob and his team were awesome! I’m from Texas and came to Missouri to drop my son off at Mizzou. I noticed the oil level warning on my dashboard and immediately went to this place. Instead of just doing an oil change, the team took the time to check everything, confirmed that the oil level was low, and recommended an oil change. They got everything taken care of quickly and professionally. We made it safely back home to Texas, and I really appreciate Rob and the entire team for taking care of us. Thank you guys so much! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
