I loved my experience at Take 5 in Dekalb, IL. Grant and his team are lovely gentlemen who take care of their clients. They informed me of poor practices from my previous oil changes in Chicago, and let me know what should have been done. I was also educated on what my services do and what is included in my oil and coolant changes. There’s major benefits that come with Take 5: free air for tires, top offs on fluids for three months, and that you can go to other chains and they will honor these benefits! On top of that everyone was beyond friendly and kind. Overall, this is the place I will be returning to if I am going to a chain oil change business!
I came here today 6000 miles overdue for an oil change and being new to the area i didnt have a mechanic here. I also got my air filter and wipers changed as well as a coolant exchange and my experience was great! I want to commend them particularly on their professionalism after watching another customer get incredibly hostile (to put it lightly) over a preexisting issue with their car. I watched as Grant handled a very tense situation as firmly and professionally as possible meanwhile the rest of the team continued to work on my car and services. Grant and Kaitlyn were very very helpful in talking to me about what I need, when and why (considering i know almost nothing about cars) and Tavarus was very nice and knowledgeable and worked on my car efficiently. There was also coolant on the floor from my car at the end and they took the time to make sure me and my car were good as far as not having any coolant on the car itself and to thoroughly clean it up off the floor before I left, prioritizing the safetyof my car which i appreciate. I highly recommend this location for your car maintenance needs!
Excellent, quick service. Didn't feel pressured by upsell. They were informative and efficient. Edited to add I will definitely be back. I recently had a poor experience at another local oil change shop so Take 5 takes the cake for me!
