Oil Change in St Johns, FL at 1626 CR 210.

I had my oil changed at another Take 5 location in Durbin Shopping Center just under a month ago, and when I was leaving to drive someplace an engine light came on. I’ve never seen this light before but I was passing the Take 5 on County Road 210 and decided to quickly pull over to see if they could help. I explained that I just had oil changed at another location and wasn’t sure if I had an oil leak happening or another issue. One of the Techs, Skylar, was especially helpful, he checked everything and explained that the sensor likely went off because the other location didn’t measure my oil correctly, failing to fill it all the way. He topped off my oil at no additional cost, checked to make sure might sensor light was off, and sent me on my way! I was fully expecting to pay something. I will definitely be coming back to the 210 location next time. They guys working there was very professional, informative and helpful.

Excellent all-around service and value for the money. My service writer Skyler was very quick to greet me and get me into a bay for an oil change, providing a complimentary ice-cold bottle of water. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, providing details that demonstrated extensive experience in the industry. My service technician Brian was very quick to not only perform a full-service oil change and fluid level check, but also completed a tire pressure check and added air as needed. Take 5 had offered me both $25 off AND 25% off coupons for a full synthetic oil change via recent emails, and the more advantageous $25 discount was applied to the very competitive current $95 base price for this service. I highly recommend this Take 5 location and service team!

Service was horrible, I had to call the police and get a police report because on August 15th 2026 the store manager Brian Silva took it upon himself to vandalize my car by being lazy and not wanting to remove my skid plate to change the oil filter and instead cut a hole out of it and didn’t even tell me. When driving home I noticed a weird sound and checked it which is the reason I found the damage. I later returned to the location to speak with him and was told he went home for the day I asked the employee if they still had the piece they cut out and he said yes and returned it to me which showed clean cuts all the way around while speaking with him and informing him I’d be hanging out there for a while as I was calling a sheriff out to get a report Mr Silva was informed of me being there and what I said and he decided to come out and confront me about what I was saying. He told me that it’s not a issue and would cause damage to my vehicle and that he “does it to all the cars that come here” I informed him that it’s destruction of property and if there was a issue with it he could have informed me and asked for permission to cut it considering it’s not his vehicle he should never have taken it upon himself to damage my car for his own convenience. He proceeded to then give me a attitude and act all high and mighty and informed to “does what I needed to do” I then told him the sheriff was already on their way and I would be calling corporate on Monday to file a complaint. When he heard about the sheriff being on the way he quickly made his way to his vehicle and left the shop. I was also told by some employees that he always does this to customers cars and when they confront him about it he gives them an attitude and corporate has already been made away of this but refuses to act. I already have the police report and filed a complaint with the BBB. next step is calling corporate on Monday and asking them to pay the entire bill for Nissan to replace it (parts and labor) and for me to get a full refund on my oil change. There’s not way I should come OOP $180 for a oil change and a new cabin filter only to have my car vandalized causing me another $350-600 in repairs! Hopefully they will fix my car if not I guess I have to sue. 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨UPDATE🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 This morning I received a call, text, and email from Mr.Robertson who I was informed is a district manager for take 5 oil. When we connected he was very apologetic, kind, and informative to the resolution he had prepared for me before we spoke. He was able to offer me a full refund for the services I paid for on the date of the incident and even told me he had a new OEM skid plate on standby to be put in for me at no cost to myself but only if I wanted to (he respected the fact that it was my decision on how to proceed with the repairs) after careful consideration I felt overwhelmed with peace because I was expecting to go back and forth with corporate for weeks about a possible resolution but here was Mr.Robertson at 9AM first thing on a Monday morning ready to give me the resolution I hoped for and what I’m guessing he felt was fair. I accepted and before the close of business today my vehicle was repaired and the part was replaced with a new skid plate that is from Nissan and has a 1 year warranty along with a full refund which will be sent to me by mail. I want to thank everyone who was apart of the resolution process for this situation and wanted to give a shout out to Mr.Robertson for a MASTERCLASS in customer support! My family thanks you!
