Oil Change in Foley, AL at 2305 S McKenzie St..

I had never used Take 5 Oil Change before because I normally take my car to my regular mechanic, but I was overdue for an oil change, he wasn’t open on the weekend, and I happened to be right nearby at Aldi. I decided to give the Take 5 in Foley a try, and I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. From the first interaction, John, the shop manager, was incredibly friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and just genuinely easy to talk to. I jokingly asked if the advertised “five minute oil change” was really five minutes because I was going to time them. 😂 He laughed and said it was usually closer to 10 because they like to be thorough. Sure enough, I was finished in under 10 minutes! The drive through setup was also incredibly convenient because I had my four year old with me. Anyone who has tried to wrangle a little one while getting car maintenance done knows what a gift it is to simply stay in your vehicle! What impressed me most, though, was how the entire team worked together. They had a very systematic process and were constantly communicating with one another throughout the service, calling things out, confirming things were tightened and checked, and making sure everyone knew exactly what was happening as the vehicle moved through the process. I don’t know much about cars, but I do recognize a well run team, and watching them work gave me a lot of confidence that there were checks and protocols in place rather than everyone just doing their own thing. John explained everything thoroughly, went over my options, listened to me, and never once made me feel pressured to buy something I didn’t need. In fact, after reviewing what had previously been done to my vehicle, he let me know my filters and windshield wipers were already good rather than trying to sell me replacements. They also checked my tires and gave the car a good overall look while I was there. I also really appreciated that John was upfront about what Take 5 handles and what should be taken to a mechanic. He explained that they can take care of the routine maintenance they offer, but if I ever have an actual mechanical issue, that’s something I should take to my mechanic. That kind of honesty and education goes a long way with me. Everyone working that day seemed confident, efficient, and professional, and John clearly runs a good team. As someone who had never tried a drive-through oil change before, this experience completely won me over. Five stars for Take 5 in Foley and a special shout-out to John and his crew. For a busy person, and especially a busy parent, the convenience, efficiency, professionalism, and lack of pressure were fantastic. I will absolutely be back for my basic oil changes!

Cameron and his crew did a fabulous job with my car. I was first greeted with a bottle of water and everyone said hello 👋🏻 when I was in the bay. Cameron took care of my windshield wiper, both filters, and explained everything, including pricing, for me to make the best decision for me. They aired up my tires and changed the oil in a reasonable amount of time. Thank you!!

I stopped in to have my oil checked today. Jackson greeted me and offered me a bottle of water (which was pleasant on a hot day in lower Alabama) Jackson looked under my hood and saw a few issues that my regular mechanic needed to fix. Jackson and his manager who was just as kind and accommodating topped off my fuel levels and only charged me $5 for the small amount of oil they added. I tipped him for his kindness. I would give ten stars if I could. Excellent customer service.
